Day 01Arrive Vientiane – City Tour
Upon arrival at the Vientiane Airport, transfer to
your hotel. Later visit the oldest Temple Wat Sisaket, an amazing structure
featuring frescoes and Buddha images, former royal Temple of Wat Prakeo, which
previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image, That Luang Stupa, Patuxay
Monument. Over Night stay in Vientiane.
Day 02Vientiane – Luang Prabang City Tour
After B/F, check out from Vientiane Hotel and
transfer to domestic Airport for a short flight departing to Luang Prabang.
Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Later, visit the Stupa of
Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of
Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well
as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we
explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade
textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang. Over
Night stay in Luang Prabang.
Day 03Luang Prabang City Tour – Pak Ou Caves
After B/F, visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, Wat Sene, Wat Xiengthong. Afternoon we then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, take a short drive to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking and Ban Phanom, a small village known for its hand weaving. Day 04Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Water Fall
An optional early start gives you the fantastic
opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks
collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful
residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist
nation still preserving the procession. After B/F, visit Phosi Market. Later,
visit local villages of Lao Ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village,
Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, Khouangsi Waterfall. We
return to the city by late afternoon to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath. Over
Night stay at Luang Prabang.
Day 05Luang Prabang – Elephant Village
After B/F, visit Elephant Village. Enjoy the impressive experience of elephant ride. We later take a boat trip on the Khan River. Take a return boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall and spend some time in the clear water. Lunch will be provided at the Elephant Village Restaurant. Return back to Luang Prabang. Rest of the day is at leisure. Over Night stay at Luang Prabang.
Day 06Luang Prabang – Vientiane – Onward Destination Journey
After B/F, check-out from Luang Prabang and depart
to Vientiane Airport to board a flight departing for onward destination.
