Package Itinerary
Day 01Arrive Colombo – Negombo
Arrive Colombo Airport and immediately depart to Negombo | Waikkal. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Negombo.
Day 02Negombo – Chilaw – Kurunegala – Kandy
After B/F, check out from Negombo and depart to Kandy. En-route, visit Munneswaram Temple in Chilaw. Later, proceed to Manaveri – the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivam. Proceed to Kurunegala for Lunch. Later, check-in to your hotel at Kandy. Visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and so some shopping. Over Night stay at Kandy.
Day 03Kandy – Pussellawa – Kandy
After B/F, day trip to Pussellawa and visit Sita Tear Pond and Chariot Route. The summit of the hill overlooking Frotoft Estate in Pussallawa is the place where Lord Hanuman first set his foot on Lanka. Proceed to Kurunegala for Lunch. Over Night stay at Kandy.
Day 04Kandy – Hunnasgiriya – Hasalaka – Mahiyanganaya
After B/F, check-out from Kandy and leave for Mahiyanganaya. En-route, visit Gurulupotha – In Valmiki's depiction King Ravana's Vimana resembled a huge peacock. The Vimana in Sinhala language means Dhandu Monara which is known as ·flying peacock·, and hence the name Gurulupotha, which means “parts of birds”. Later, reach Mahiyanganaya and check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Mahiyanganaya.
Day 05Mahiyanganaya – Badulla – Welimada – Nuwara Eliya
After B/F, check-out from Mahiyanganaya and depart for Nuwara Eliya. En-route, visit Divurumpola – means a “place of an oath”. The spot was initially fenced and walled to protect it from surrounding wilderness. Then Anuradhapura bodhi tree (one of the 30 original saplings) was planted as a mark of respect of the place. A small dagoba was built subsequently under the Bodhi tree. The temple depicts paintings of the Ramayana epic. Today the temple is revered for the oath taken by Sitadevi and even the legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties. Post Lunch, visit Seetha Amman Temple, Seetha Eliya. Later, arrive Nuwara Eliya and check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Nuwara Eliya. sapling
Day 06Nuwara Eliya – Ramboda – Kandy
After B/F, check out from Nuwara Eliya. Visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple at Ramboda. Evening, visit Mani Kattuther – the hill where Lord Hanuman is believed to have rested after meeting Sitadevi is known as Mani Kattuther. Over Night stay at Kandy.
Day 07Kandy – Colombo
After B/F, check out Kandy and depart for Colombo. En-route, visit Kelaniya. After King Ravana·s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. Post Lunch, visit Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel at Colombo. Over Night stay at Colombo.
Day 08Colombo – Onward Destination Journey
After B/F, check out from Colombo Hotel and transfer to the airport to board a flight departing for onward destination journey.
