It is a city with a soul, featured by the Baroque Old Town which is nestled at the foot of Castle Hill, the Art Nouveau mansions as well as some of the masterpieces of the world renowned architect Joze Plecnik. After B/F, check-out from Ljubljana hotel and proceed to Postojna Cave – one of Slovenia's most spectacular natural sights which is around 40 mins by road and it consists of a 27 Km. underground system of passages, tunnels, galleries and chambers with wonderful dripstones, which has in almost 200 years been visited by over 33 million people accompanied by experienced cave guides. The caves, also famous for providing home to an amphibian salamander endemic to subterranean waters of southern Europe, can be viewed from a small cave train.
