Day 01Arrive Zurich – Interlaken – Harder Kulm
Upon arrival at Zurich
Airport, transfer to the train station right below the airport and connect to
your train taking you to Interlaken. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and
check-in. Later in the evening make your way to the Harder Kulm. Over Night
stay at Interlaken.
Day 02Interlaken – Excursion to Jungfrau
After B/F, it’s time to
head to the station and head off to the Top of Europe – to the
Jungfraujoch. Upon arrival at the top, you can walk around on the Glacier;
spend time in the Sphinx there looking at all the peaks around you. On a clear
day you can see as far as the Mont Blanc (of France). Visit the Ice Palace and
finally enjoy a hot meal in the restaurant there. Later in the afternoon take
the train back to Interlaken and the rest of the evening is free for you to
either walk around town, shop at Bucherer or any of the shops there else
depending on the day of the week, you could also enjoy a Dinner cruise on the
lake. For those who would like to gamble away, the famous Casino Kursaal awaits
you. Over Night stay at Interlaken.
Day 03Interlaken – Glacier 3000
After B/F, take the train
to the fabulous Glacier 3000. Upon arrival at the station which is the base of
the cable car station, a 15 min ride up by the cable car brings you to the
summit. Enjoy the day here – take a ride on the snow bus to the view point,
from where you can catch the breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, Jungfraujoch
and the Mont Blanc, also recommended is a ride on the Alpine coaster, the
highest roller coaster in the whole of Europe. The restaurant at the top also
has some great food on its menu. From May – Oct the top attraction is the
Husky Dog rides which must be booked in advance for sure. Later, transfer to
the train station via the cable car and back to Interlaken. Over Night stay at Interlaken.
Day 04Interlaken
After B/F, the day is free
to explore the region in detail. You could take the boat cruise on the Brienz
and visit the Ballenberg Open Air Museum, which houses more than 100 original
buildings from all over Switzerland and creates an atmosphere of how
Switzerland was in the bygone days. Over Night stay at Interlaken.
Day 05Interlaken – Lucerne City Tour
After B/F, check-out from
Interlaken and head towards the train station this morning and board the train
taking you to Lucerne. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Later,
you could either walk around the city or opt for the 40 min. train ride
covering the Chapel Bridge, the town square, the Lion Monument and much more,
or make a trip to Schaffhausen and the Rhine Falls, stopping at the 14TH
Century village Stein Am Rhine along the way. The Swiss
Museum of Transport is also worth
visiting here in Lucerne,
which has been voted the most popular museum and theme park for the whole
family in any weather. Over Night stay at Lucerne.
Day 06Lucerne – Excursion to Pilatus
An excursion up the Dragon Mountain
is in store for you this morning. We suggest that if you are traveling in May,
than the 1 hour boat ride is quite unique. The boat takes you from Lucerne to
Alpnachstad from where you hop on to the world's steepest cogwheel railway that
takes you to Pilatus Kulm. Prior to May month, you will need to take the train
from Lucerne to Alpnachstad directly and then connect to the cogwheel train.
Spend time at the peak and should you take the morning cogwheel train, you may
be able to hop out at one of the stops along the way and see, a farmer bake
bread and make some fresh cheese in the mountains. At the top there are some
restaurants offering some mouthwatering food and soups. On the way back we
recommend you take the cable car to Kriens from where Bus NR 1 takes you to
Lucerne in 15 min. However, prior to that you must stop at the Pilatus
Seilpark, which is Switzerland’s biggest suspension – Rope Park and a great hit
with kids and adults alike. The rest of the evening is free for you to walk
around the city. Over Night stay at Lucerne.
Day 07Lucerne – Excursion to Titlis
Today you visit the glacier
paradise Titlis offering an eternal snow and ice experience on the highest
viewpoint in Central Switzerland all year
round. Ascending the world's first revolving gondola Rotair is like being an
eagle. You change 3 different cable cars to reach the peak where you can enjoy
a pizza at the highest Pizzeria in the world and much more. The ice flier is a
big hit with the family. With loads to do at the peak, more than half a day is
a must. Return back to Lucerne. Later, spend rest of the time at any of the
restaurants dotting the city or just walking along the lake. Over Night stay at
Lucerne.
Day 08Lucerne – Zermatt
After B/F, check out from
Lucerne and transfer to the train station and head to the car free city of
Zermatt. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. The day is free for
you to walk around this lovely village nestled at the foot of the mammoth Matterhorn. Over Night stay at Zermatt.
Day 09Zermatt – Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
After B/F, brace yourself
for a spectacular excursion to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which is
the highest sightseeing point in Europe, which is accessible by cableway.
The world's highest glacier palace, approximately 15 m. under the surface of
the glacier, and the various glacial splits and gaps, can all be explored in
amazement. The 8-seater Matterhorn-Express cable railway takes you up to the
Furi station. From here the cableway takes you further up to Trockener Steg.
The highest cableway in Europe transports visitors up past giant crevasses to
the Matterhorn glacier paradise and into a
breathtaking mountain landscape of glaciers and permanent snow. The exciting
tour from Zermatt to the Matterhorn glacier

Day 10Zermatt – Gornergrat
There is yet another peak
in Zermatt which could be another full day
excursion for you. It's the train ride up the Gonergrat. Discover a top-class
natural paradise: the Gornergrat Bahn takes you from Zermatt
up the 3089 m high Gornergrat. Through aromatic stone pine and larch forests
and across alpine meadows in summer time full of flowers and in winter time
deeply snow-capped you arrive in the midst of 29 snow and ice-covered 4000 M. high
mountains including such famous greats us Matterhorn (4478 m), Liskamm (4527 m)
and Dufour-Spitze (4634 m). On a culinary level too, the Gornergrat offers everything
you could wish for. The Kulmhotel Gornergrat, the highest hotel in the Swiss
Alps (3100 m), and other restaurants located along the route treat you to the
very best food and drink. You return back to Zermatt early evening following
which the time is free for you to explore the narrow lanes and the quaint
restaurants that dot the alpine village. Over Night stay at Zermatt.
Day 11Zermatt – Zurich
After B/F, check-out from
Zermatt Hotel and head to the train station and board the train departing to
Zurich. Or else you have the option of taking the Glacier Express to St Moritz and onwards.
Upon arrival into Zurich, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Later
in the evening, take a walk along the Lake, shop at the many malls and stores
dotting the promenade. Over Night stay at Zurich.
Day 12Zurich – Onward Destination Journey
After B/F, check out from
Zurich Hotel and transfer to Zurich Airport to board flight departing for
onward destination journey.
