Day 01Arrive Bagdogra - Phuentsholing

Pick up from Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuntsholing. Being the border town, Phuntsholing serves as the convenient entry/exit point for Bhutan and also the important link to visit the Indian state of West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. Depending on your arrival time our escort will assist you in procurement of your permit to Bhutan. The permit issuance takes time depending on the rush one has to stand in queue for procurement of permit. In case the permit is not processed on the day of arrival then it can be issued next day before you start for next destination (Saturday & Sunday Closed). Over Night stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 02Phuentsholing - Thimphu

After B/F, and after completing your Visa / Permit formalities, depart for Thimphu. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check-in to the hotel. Thimphu is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions. Although not what one expects from a capital city, Thimphu is still a fitting and lively place. Home to civil servants, expatriates and monk body, Thimphu maintains a strong national character in its architectural style. Over Night stay in Thimphu.

Day 03Thimphu

After B/F, visit Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong), Changangkha Lhakhang (Monastery), Drupthob Goemba | Zilukha Nunnery, National Library (Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Institute of Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School – Closed on Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday & During Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum (Handicrafts Shops – Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery). Over Night stay in Thimphu.

Day 04Thimphu - Punakha

(Refer to General Points on Bhutan Operation for Pink Permit.) After B/F, drive to Punakha | Wangdi. Punakha / Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass, which is very scenic with the fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the Chorten, Mani Wall, and Prayer Flags which decorate the highest point on the road. Visit Punakha Dzong. If time permits, visit the Suspension Bridge and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery). Over Night stay in Punakha.

Day 05Punakha - Trongsa - Bumthang

After B/F, check-out from Punakha | Wangdi and drive to Trongsa. Visit Trongsa Dzong, the largest Dzong in Bhutan and the Ta Dzong (museum housing a collection of historical artifacts the Royal Family). Post Lunch, drive to Bumthang via Yongtala Pass and Kilakha Pass. Over Night stay in Bumthang.

Day 06Bumthang

After B/F, visit Kurjey Lhakhang, one of the most sacred places in the kingdom where Bhutan’s patron saint Guru Rinpoche meditated and also visit 7th Century Jambay Lhakhang. Like Kyichu Lhakhang in the Paro Valley, this temple is said to be the first that King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet constructed in 7th Century. Afternoon visit Tamshing Lhakhang, founded in 1501 by Pema Lingpa. It contains interesting and ancient Buddhist paintings. Later see the Jakar Dzong, "the dzong of the white bird". The evening takes a stroll through Bumthang Market area. Over Night stay in Bumthang.

Day 07Bumthang - Punakha

After B/F, explore the fascinating valley of Bumthang. Then proceed to Trongsa where lunch would be served in a local restaurant, famous for its traditional cuisine. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. The evening is at leisure. Over Night stay in Punakha / Wangdi.

Day 08Punakha - Paro

After B/F, check-out from Punakha and depart to Paro. En-route, stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Garden. Upon arrival at Paro, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Over Night stay at Paro.

Day 09Paro Local Sightseeing | Trek to Tiger's Nest

After B/F, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum – Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang (Monastery). Return back to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. One can go for shopping in the market. Over Night stay in Paro.

(Refer To General Points on Bhutan Operation For Pink Permit). After B/F, go for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) (Closed on every Tuesday) – The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2/3 hours through pine forests. The monastery clings to a huge granite cliff 800 m. from the Paro Valley. It is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900 m. above the Paro Valley floor. Rest of the day is at leisure. One can go for shopping in the market. Over Night stay in Paro.


Day 10Paro - Phuentsholing

After B/F, drive to Phuentsholing. After reaching Phuentsholing, check-in to your hotel. Over Night stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 11Phuentsholing - Bagdogra - Onward Destination Journey

After B/F, check-out from Phuentsholing and depart to Bagdogra Airport. Upon arrival, transfer to Airport to board a flight departing for onward destination.
